Our Story

Daily Companions Inc (DCI) was founded by Lee Cloughfeather and started providing Intellectual Developmental Disability (I/DD) Waiver Services on July 2 2004.  Ms. Cloughfeather had a brother named “Arty” who wanted the ability to explore and enjoy life on his terms.  Arty would state

Arty“Don’t tell me what I can’t do… let me show you what I can do.

Arty enjoyed time with his friends in the day program and made new friends when he moved into his own apartment. DCI operates according to Arty’s motto.  The DCI staff works to assist developing an individual plan to address the interests and dreams of the individual and the needs of the family.

DCI offers all individuals the opportunity to participate in a day program then process into a pre-vocational program and supported employment. DCI offers 24 hours, 7 days per week assistance and programs to individuals who chose to live in their own apartment.

DCI has become a vendor for the Division of Rehabilitation Services in the State of West Virginia offering employment opportunities and job coaches to support each individual to achieve their potential.
